We frequently have customers ask us about what we put into our organic skin care products and we gladly receive these queries; we are pleased to see that consumers are looking to become more aware of what they are putting on their skin.
One common question we get is regarding Linalool, Citronellol, Citral and d-Limonene, which are present in most of our cosmetics. It is a fair question because these can be synthetically produced.
However, what many do not realise is that they also occur naturally - for instance, essential oil of lemon contains 66% Limonene and rosewood essential oil naturally contains 80% Linalool.
It is the naturally occurring forms of Linalool, Citronellol, Citral and d-Limonene which are present in our products and these are only there because we put the essential oils in - we never add extra of these chemicals, either in synthetic or natural form.
However, European legislation states that all compounds in the skin care product must be listed, which is why you'll find them on our labels.
